IT Systems Administrator

Thin Metal Parts is a growing manufacturer, and we are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our Colorado Springs team!  Our work environment is a small server farm on VMWare with approximately 30 workstations.  We use a custom developed system with MS Access and SQL Server to handle most of our in-house processing of orders.

The successful candidate will have skills in maintaining our current Server / Workstation / Network environment.  In addition, the candidate will be working with our custom application to improve functionality and resolve issues as they arise.  Software development skills are a requirement.  The ability to use SQL Server and Tableau to provide ongoing analytics about the data in our in-house system is a plus.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance current custom application system.
• Server and workstation support.
• General network support.
• Security monitoring implementation.
• Work with users and understand requirements.

​Qualifications:

• Experience in the following IT server and workstation environments.
  • Windows Server 2019
  • Windows 10/11
  • VMWare 7.x
  • Sonicwall Firewall
  • Exchange 2019
  • SQL Server 2019
  • Office 365
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.4
  • VPN (Site to site and client based)
• Experience in application development with the following systems.
  • MS Access
  • Microsoft SQL
  • Visual Studio .Net (Visual Basic and C#)
  • Crystal Reports
  • Tableau Server and Reporting.
• DNS Management
• Managing an external host for company website
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Manufacturing, specifically metal manufacturing, industry desired
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with CMMC 2.0
